The Half Bun Hair Tutorial

Secure your style with hairspray and you are done!! :)

We have all been wearing our hair half up since the middle ages, Literally. The same old thing repetitively gets so BORING!! The “half up, half down” hairstyle has went through many changes since then, but it has undergone a makeover! Introducing the Half Bun! I am in love with this style! To me it has the best of both worlds, long waves that I love when my hair is down and a fun top knot that holds my hair out of my face! I also love the nostalgic feel this style has as a throwback to my 90s childhood! The 90s are coming back y’all lets embrace it! You can achieve this look with some simple steps!

Products Used:

Bedhead Oh Beehive Dry Shampoo

Moroccan Oil Luminous Strong Hairspray

Tease Brush

1 1/4 Inch Curling Iron

Clear Elastic

Regular Bobby Pins

Prep your hair with dry shampoo for added texture.

Use your curling iron to create soft waves throughout your hair. Pull the front section up starting on the sides of your forehead to the center of your head in a triangle section.

Secure with a clear elastic. Make a small bun with the tail towards the front. Pull the bun section apart from side to side spreading it out like a fan. Use bobby pins to secure your bun! I pull sections of each side the opposite way but you can create any shape you want!! Have fun with it!

My husband loves to joke and calls this look my “Sassy Bun” and says I have more sass when I wear it! I hate to admit he is right, but its just so much fun to wear it definitely gives me more pep in my step. I dare you to try this look and SLAY it as your own !!
